Water Testing FAQs
Water testing is important to achieve and maintain a safer swimmer environment. Water chemistry can be quite complex with so many different factors, and testing frequently can help avoid problems like swimmer discomfort or equipment damage, saving you money and preserving valuable pool time with your family.
Bring in your water in a clean jar or water bottle, then we will replace that with a free water testing bottle for your future visits.
It is important to have your pool and spa water professionally analyzed beyond just the basics at opening, closing, and every few weeks in between to keep it safe and clean. You should also be using at home test strips a few times a week to maintain balanced water throughout the season.
At a absolute MINIMUM, please bring in your water sample when you open and close your spa or pool. This is how you set the foundation for balanced water.
If you cannot test your water regularly, consider having our water maintenance team perfectly balance your water weekly or bi-weekly.
At-home tests cover the basics, but our professional chemical test in store (Bioguard’s high tech testing system–ALEX. See below) is fast and much more accurate than a simple dip of a test.
